An expert who has your back
Moving to, and doing business in a new country can be a steep learning curve. You really need someone on your side to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
Guy’s combined experience in property management and helping new residents move to Andorra has placed him in a unique position to help newcomers. He not only has the knowledge to help you make the right decisions, he can connect you with the right people at the right time as well.
Some of the many ways our clients have benefit from local support
Property purchase
Arranging an independent property valuation
Independent valuations have stopped our clients from overpaying, saving literal hundreds of thousands. They have also helped to gain larger mortgages from the banks.
Schooling
Joining school tours or meetings with teachers
While more and more English is being spoken in Andorra, let’s be real, it’s not the official language. If you need help translating in meetings with teachers, we’re happy to help.
Driving
Transferring licenses from different countries
Almost every country has a different system involved in exchanging your license. Though we can’t control government requirements, we can help to limit your hassle.
Healthcare
Assisting with reimbursements from CASS or private insurance
Receiving a reimbursement from CASS or your private health insurance isn’t as straightforward as you might expect. When forced to use a paper form, in Catalan, you have to follow a set process otherwise your claim may be rejected. Let us make it easy for you.

Q&A
I want to buy a property in Andorra. Can I engage Andorra Guides to represent my best interests during this process?
Absolutely! Most passive residents choose to come into the country by way of property investment, so we’ve had a lot of experience in this area. Unlike the agents however, we aren’t incentivised by one particular sale, so we can act as a ‘buyers agent’ on your behalf.
This involves reaching out to agents within the country to find out if they have properties that suit your specific needs, assisting with much needed due diligence like zoning issues, avalanche risk and so on, and arranging an independent valuation report. The negotiation culture is different in Andorra, and our goal is to ensure you aren’t overpaying. This due diligence can also go a long way with Andorra’s banks, to help you to gain a substantial mortgage, if you so desire.
Can I exchange my drivers’ licence?
Possibly. Once you get your residency you have q1 year to exchange your existing license to Andorran one. License exchanges are possible from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands and UK.
For UK licenses Andorra will currently currently only exchange the categories for driving a car and driving a car with a trailer if you’re from the UK. Any other categories, such as large or heavy goods vehicles, will be lost and will need to be re-taken with a local driving school.
There’s no drivers’ licence exchange system between my home country and Andorra. How can I get a local licence?
You will need to sit a theory test, and then take a practical exam. If you do this within your first year of residency in Andorra, this can be done in English. After this time, it’s in Catalan. For this reason we encourage you to do so shortly after gaining your residency card.
Can I import my car to Andorra?
Yes, though there are restrictions. The first being that Andorra does not accept right hand drive cars. The second is that cars must meet Euro 6 emissions standards, while also be manufactured no more than 5 years ago. If you can show that you have owned the car for 6+ months prior to the date of your residency, you will be able to import it without being taxed.
It’s possible to import classic cars as well. These must be 25 years old, and in ‘perfect state’. Import applications must be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformity, photos, and approval from the Automobile Club of Andorra.
